Annual Banquet &
Awards Ceremony
The
Schuyler Hose Company held its annual awards banquet on
April
18, 2009
at the Old Saratoga Post 278 American Legion Hall in Schuylerville.
2009 - 2010 Executive Officers were announced and sworn
into office by Mayor Sherman:

2009 - 2010 Line Officers were announced and also sworn into
office by Mayor Sherman:
Fire Chief Brian Myers, Jr.
1st Asst. Chief Richard Drew
2nd Asst. Chief Tom Benton
Captain Edward Carr
Captain Scott Maguire
Lieutenant Rob Decker
Lieutenant Adam Myers
Lieutenant Matt Derway
Safety Officer Richard Behrens
Fire Investigator Bud Pendrak
The entire membership was excited to welcome home Fire Fighter
William Huber who had recently returned from serving in
Iraq
.
The Awards Ceremony followed:
Zene Garnsey of Paul Garnsey & Son Trucking was honored for
his many years of assisting Schuyler Hose Company in maintaining
our fleet of apparatus in a manner which makes every truck safe
and reliable.
An award recognizing length of service was given to many active
firefighters. For
fifteen years of service Tom Benton and Tommy Temple were
recognized. After
twenty years of continuous service Scott Maguire and Brian Myers,
Jr. received an award. For
forty five years of active service Albin “Bud” Pendrak was
thanked.
Firefighter of the Year was
awarded to the member showing dedication and support to all
activities and functions of the company. The award was voted on by
the company membership and given to Adam Myers.
The Chief
'
s
Award was
awarded to the member with outstanding performance in fire ground
operations, training, and any other company activities assisting
the Fire Chief. The award was given to Shane Buhrmaster as voted
by the Line Officers of the company.
The President
'
s
Award was
earned by Raymond Carr because of his outstanding performance in
meetings, detail hours, and fund raising and any other company
activities assisting the President. The award was voted on by the
Executive Officers of the company.
The Town of Saratoga
Supervisor’s Award was presented to Frank Merrill to
recognize the many hours all firefighters give in service to their
community.
The Schuyler Hose Company would like to thank all
the residents who they service for their support and cooperation.
