MR-576
MR-576 is assigned to
all water rescue operations in the Schuyler Hose protection area.
SHC covers waterways that include the Hudson River, Fish Creek and
the Battenkill.
MR-576 is a 2005 17'
Zumro inflatable rescue boat. The all inflatable boat
features six parallel airtight chambers to maintain hull integrity
even under the worst conditions. The stacked tube self
bailing catamaran design offers stability and interior space.
It features a high safe freeboard, with a lower bow for
"over-the-bow" entry into the boat. The unique bow
hatch is an innovative way to get rescuers or victims into the
boat. The boat is equipped with a 60hp Mercury Bigfoot
Outboard also new in 2005.
